Access To Work Grant

Use your Access to Work grant to get ADHD coaching and wellbeing support

ADHD coaching and Access to workAccess to Work is a Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) grant that helps people with physical or mental health conditions — including ADHD — to start or stay in work.
It pays for extra support that goes beyond what your employer is expected to provide as “reasonable adjustments”.

Through this scheme, you can fund specialist ADHD coaching with me — combining practical coping strategies with nutrition and wellbeing support to help you thrive in your role.

What is Access to Work?

Access to Work is a government-funded grant that removes barriers in the workplace for people whose health or neurodivergent condition impacts how they work.
It’s not a loan, and you don’t have to pay it back.

The grant can fund:

  • Specialist ADHD or workplace coaching
  • Support workers or mentors
  • Assistive technology or software
  • Help with travel to work or interviews

You can apply for the grant if you are employed or self-employed. It is not available for students or those out of work, but you can apply if you are about to start a new job.

The amount awarded depends on your needs. If you are awarded the grant for “ADHD Coping Strategy Training” you are expected to find your own coach and claim back for the sessions that you have paid for with them, providing evidence in the form of their invoices. You will be given a budget to work within.

Why ADHDers are often eligible

5 illustrated head with symbols for brainsADHD can affect focus, organisation, working memory, time management, emotional regulation and communication at work.
If these challenges mean you need more structured support than your employer can reasonably provide, Access to Work can help.

When you apply, you’ll be asked to explain:

  • How ADHD affects your day-to-day work tasks
  • What happens when support isn’t in place (for example, missed deadlines, fatigue or overwhelm)
  • What kind of specialist help would make your work more manageable and sustainable
