Nutrition and ADHD Packages
Nutrition can be a challenge for those with ADHD.
It can be hard to motivate yourself to prepare food and even eat. You can forget to eat when caught up in a hyper-focus and meal planning can be a challenge.
ADHD is associated with differences in dopamine signalling and reward pathways, which can affect motivation, cravings, food choices and follow-through and as a result people with ADHD can be drawn to foods that cause a dopamine high (sugar, refined carbohydrates, processed foods, caffeine, alcohol). And over-consumption of these types of foods can lead to blood sugar dysregulation which can in turn make ADHD symptoms worse.
In addition to this, ADHD medication can also impact appetite and disrupt sleep.
People with ADHD can be susceptible to nutrient deficiencies both because of their dietary habits and their physiology.
The nervous system requires key nutrients to produce neurotransmitters (including dopamine and serotonin) and supporting brain health through nutrition and lifestyle is key.

I’ve created four packages to support those with ADHD. They include an ADHD dietary analysis package and three more comprehensive packages that contain a varying number of tests to help us uncover nutrient deficiencies and target the right nutritional support. They also contain regular appointments where I will combine both nutritional advice and ADHD coaching, to ensure that you are able to implement the necessary changes in a way that will work for you.

Nutrition and ADHD: The Basics
With this package we will explore and address common nutrient deficiencies in those with ADHD:
- Essential fatty acids which are essential for good brain health
- Vitamin D (essential for energy and mood)
- Thyroid health (key for energy, metabolism and mood)
- Folate and B12 (key for methylation, energy, neurotransmitter production)
- Zinc (key for energy, mood, methylation)
This will involve two blood tests and four consultations and costs £750 (including tests)
Nutrition and ADHD: Let’s Dig Deeper
In this package as well as the tests in The Basics we will also look at:
- Nutrigenomics: exploring your own personal DNA pathways that impact the Nervous System and Methylation. This will give us an insight into your ability to produce, use and breakdown Dopamine and Serotonin, as well as how your body uses stress hormones such as Adrenaline and Noradrenalin. Methylation underpins our ability to make energy, detoxify, produce neurotransmitters and much more, so is key to understanding how our bodies work and how we can support them.
- Genova’s Metabolomix + test – this sophisticated test enables us to pinpoint nutrient deficiencies and determine your personal need for antioxidants, B-vitamins, minerals, digestive support, fatty acids, and amino acids. It also gives us an insight into your neurotransmitter levels
- Adrenal Stress Profile – this simple saliva-based test enables us to establish your cortisol levels across the day and gauge the impact of stress on your health
This package will include four tests and six consultations and costs £1750
Nutrition and ADHD: The Deepest
As well as everything in the Let’s Dig Deeper package this package includes:
- Genova’s GI Effects test – this comprehensive digestive test enables us to get a thorough insight into the status of your gut health. We will establish how good you are at digesting food, whether you have any inflammation in the gut, the state of your microbiome (gut flora) and whether you have any pathogenic bacteria or parasites that could be impacting your health
- Genova’s Comprehensive Urine Element Profile – this test assesses your levels of nutrient minerals (the ones we should have) and toxic minerals (the ones we don’t want and that could impact your brain health).
This package will include six tests and eight consultations and costs £2500
